Bayern Munich have edged closer to clinching their 8th league title in a row with an emphatic 5-nil victory over Fortuna Dusseldorf at the Allianz Arena.
The defending champions took a 1-nil lead after Mathias Jørgensen scored an unfortunate own goal 14 minutes into the match.
Then, Benjamin Pavard headed home from inside the box to make it 2-nil for the hosts in the 29th minute.
The Bavarians went into the second half with a 3-nil advantage, as Robert Lewandowski tapped the ball home from close range.
Just five minutes after the break, Lewandowski was at it again, scoring his brace with a clinical finish and registering his 43rd goal of the season in all competitions.
Then, Anthony Davis put the icing on the cake by scoring the fifth after dodging several Dusseldorf players before putting the ball into the net.
With the victory, Bayern widened the gap at the top of table to 10 points, while second-placed Borussia Dortmund are set to play bottom-side Paderborn on Sunday.
